Why would a 56 year old woman who has never written professionally and who is a novice in the field of web design choose to make blogging an addition to her daily life? I’ll tell you why…I believe that the role of being a Helpmeet as God intended for wives to be is vanishing. I believe after having a full understanding of what that role entails, that your marriage can be the thing you hold dearest in your heart. Having had a bad marriage at one time myself, I know it is a yucky feeling and I don’t want any wife to wake up and face that every day when it can be replaced with bliss. That is the reason I am taking this challenge and starting this blog.
My blog writings will not apply just to those women who are what society calls “stay at home” wives but also for those that have careers. I have spoke with enough women to know that as much as they would love to be at home full time, it isn’t always doable at the particular time of their life. Either way it needs to be a joint decision between spouses and then either way a wife’s responsibilities to her husband needs to come first.
In the beginning of my marriage my husband and I decided I would be a full time wife and mom. It was what I always wanted and we were prepared to eat beanie weenies instead of steak to afford me that opportunity. I did however go to work off and on over the years while my sons were in school and learned some hard lessons from those times. So having lived my life as a working woman and a stay at home woman has provided me with some valuable information. Information that came at a high price and I want now to pass it on to you. It is information that could possibly make your marriage more wonderful than you could even imagine it being. I will also be speaking from experience of a woman who was ready to terminate my marriage and never look back, to now not a day goes by that I don’t wish I had more time in the day to spend with my husband and enjoy supporting the desires of his heart. It is now the thing I hold dearest in my heart.
So I hope you will subscribe to my blog because I will be sharing stories and resources that can direct your marriage back on course if you have strayed or just give you motivation to acquire your dream relationship with your husband. But you have to be willing to do two things… I write about those two things in my very first blog.
